Drone checks

Drone solar inspections in Worcestershire.

We look before anyone climbs. When a roof is too high, too steep or otherwise not safe, a drone visual check by a licensed drone pilot comes first. It is included where needed in a visit.

Qualified electrician specialising in solar · We do not sell or fit new systems.

When we use it

Part of the visit, not an extra

  • Servicing

On commercial, farm and home servicing visits where the roof is not safe to get on.

  • Fault finding

To check for visible damage before or alongside fault finding at the inverter and strings.

  • Snagging

For roof evidence on independent PV snagging of a new install.

Honest limits

What it shows, and what it does not

  • What a drone visual check shows

Visible problems on the panels and the roof around them, such as cracked or damaged modules, seen without anyone going up.

  • What it does not show

Electrical faults need testing at the inverter and strings. It is a visual check only, not a roof survey, structural survey or building survey.

FAQ

Common questions

Can solar panels be inspected without going on the roof?

Yes. A drone visual check by a licensed drone pilot comes first when a roof is not safe, and nobody goes on the roof unless it is safe and needed.

What can a drone not find?

Electrical faults need testing at the inverter and strings. A drone check is visual only, and it is not a roof, structural or building survey.

Does a drone check cost extra?

It is included where needed in a servicing, fault finding or snagging visit.

Do you sell or install new solar?

No. We do not sell or install new systems. We service, diagnose and repair systems already installed, and offer independent snagging on someone else’s new install.

Do you cover my area?

Yes. We cover Worcestershire, including Worcester, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Malvern, Evesham, Pershore, Redditch, Upton-upon-Severn and Tenbury Wells.

When do I get my report?

Domestic customers pay on completion. Commercial and working farm customers pay within 14 days of the invoice date. Utility-scale customers pay on the terms in the quote or purchase order, within 30 days. Your written report is sent once the invoice is paid in full. If you raise a genuine problem with our work, we will not hold back the report over the amount in dispute. If we find anything unsafe, we tell you straight away on the day and make it safe where we can, whatever the payment situation. See our terms.
