Who it is for

Businesses with solar already on the roof

  • Businesses

Owners and site or facilities managers with existing solar on offices, workshops, warehouses or shops.

  • Landlords and managing agents

Existing solar on buildings you let out or manage.

  • Installer gone or not coming back

We do not install systems, so every system we work on was installed by someone else. We pick up commercial systems when the original installer has gone or will not return.

  • Farms

Solar on farm buildings has its own page: farm solar servicing.

On a service

What a commercial service covers

  • FLIR thermal imaging — included in every annual service
  • Inverter checks, including error logs and generation data
  • String checks and tests, such as insulation resistance (Riso)
  • A look over the modules, cabling and isolators
  • A drone visual check where the roof is not safe to get on — included where needed (drone solar inspections)
  • Anything found explained in plain English, with remedial work quoted separately and only done with your approval

What it costs

Thermal imaging

Standalone thermal inspection

FLIR thermal imaging is included in every annual service. It can also be booked on its own as a standalone thermal inspection, without a full service, if you want a thermal check of your business premises.

Thermal imaging shows parts of the system running hotter than they should, such as connections, isolators or modules, so they can be looked at before they become a bigger fault.

How it works

Call, inspect, then quote the repair

  1. 1

    Call or WhatsApp

Tell us the inverter make and how many inverters if you know, your town, and anything that is wrong.

  2. 2

    Inspection

On site, with access agreed with you. Drone visual check first if the roof is not safe to get on.

  3. 3

    Findings and quote

You get what was found and a quote for any remedial work before it starts.

Local and independent

The same electrician each visit

Solar Revive works in Worcestershire only, so the electrician who services your system is the one you call back. We do not sell systems, batteries or upgrades, so the advice is about keeping the system you have working.

Six years maintaining and managing utility-scale solar farms, covering operations and maintenance and asset management.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does commercial solar servicing cost?

Commercial solar servicing costs £850 for systems with up to two inverters, plus £150 for each additional inverter. Commercial fault finding is £650 per half day, and remedial work is quoted after diagnosis.

Is thermal imaging included in a service?

Yes. FLIR thermal imaging is included in every annual service. It can also be booked on its own as a standalone thermal inspection, which is quoted.

Can you service a system someone else installed?

Yes. We do not install new systems, so every system we service was installed by someone else, including systems whose installer has gone or will not come back.

Our generation has dropped. Is that a service or a fault?

If something has clearly gone wrong, such as a fault light, an inverter error or a sudden drop in generation, book fault finding rather than a routine service. Commercial fault finding is £650 per half day.

Do you need to get on the roof every time?

Not always. Some faults are diagnosed from the inverter and generation data. If the roof is not safe, a drone visual check comes first.

Do you sell or install new solar?

No. We do not sell or install new systems. We service, diagnose and repair systems already installed, and offer independent snagging on someone else’s new install.

Do you cover my area?

Yes. We cover Worcestershire, including Worcester, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Malvern, Evesham, Pershore, Redditch, Upton-upon-Severn and Tenbury Wells.

When do I get my report?

Domestic customers pay on completion. Commercial and working farm customers pay within 14 days of the invoice date. Utility-scale customers pay on the terms in the quote or purchase order, within 30 days. Your written report is sent once the invoice is paid in full. If you raise a genuine problem with our work, we will not hold back the report over the amount in dispute. If we find anything unsafe, we tell you straight away on the day and make it safe where we can, whatever the payment situation. See our terms.
